Short answers about how ProCare works.

What is ProCare?

ProCare is a health companion that lives in WhatsApp. It helps people manage long-term conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and kidney disease. You message it a meal photo, a reading or a report, and it replies in the language you write in and keeps your record in one place.

What can I ask ProCare to help with?

Start with the goal that matters most to you, such as keeping your sugar steady, keeping an eye on your blood pressure, making sense of your reports, eating better with a condition, remembering your medicines or looking after a parent. ProCare asks what you want help with first, and learns about you after that.

How do I get access?

ProCare is invitation-only for now. Join the waitlist with your WhatsApp number, and we will send your invitation to that number on WhatsApp when your turn comes. You do not need to download an app.

Does ProCare replace my doctor?

No. ProCare is a companion, not a doctor. It does not diagnose, and medicines are your doctor’s decision. For an examination, a test or a written prescription it points you to a doctor in person.

What happens in an emergency?

Emergencies come first. If you describe something that sounds like an emergency, such as chest pain or trouble breathing, ProCare’s reply opens by telling you to get emergency care now, before anything else. In India you can call 108.

Which languages does ProCare speak?

ProCare replies in the language you write in. It is built for Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali and English, and it answers in many other languages as well.

Can I set it up for a parent or another family member?

Yes. You can set ProCare up for a parent. You can also invite a relative as a care partner, who receives updates only after the patient agrees.

Who can see my health information?

Your record is yours. You can ask ProCare for a copy of it at any time, and you can create a link to show a doctor and switch that link off again. We do not sell personal or health data. The Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect and why.

Do I need to download an app?

No. ProCare lives in WhatsApp, so there is nothing to install and no password to remember.

How do I stop the messages?

Reply STOP at any time and ProCare stops messaging you.

Is ProCare for doctors too?

Yes. Doctors can see their patients’ readings and goals in a care-plan console. It never prescribes and never replaces a doctor’s judgement.
